basketball

A few weeks ago I got to go to my first basketball game. I got to ride on the train all the way downtown and back. I tucked my cars in my pockets so that I would be sure to have them to play with if I got bored, which I did...about halfway through the first quarter. I got to eat lots and lots of popcorn but I didn't understand the point of staying after it was gone. For some reason mama and dada wanted to stay until the end. Behind us there were a couple of little boys not much older than me and I watched them a lot because it was fascinating when they would yell about the game with their dada. Dada took me out at halftime and let me run around like crazy, then I came back and played with my cars until it was time to ride the train again.

thousands and thousands of kisses

One of the hard parts about being two is that mama has to give me tons of kisses everyday. She says she has to give me at least one kiss for every day of my life. And because I could live a very long time and because at some point I will stop allowing her to give me kisses all the time, she has to squeeze them all in now. So that means putting up with all kinds of kisses everyday. Even when I am busy trying to put together a puzzle or playing with my cars. All those kisses.

It's a very tough life, this being two.

I have lots of little cars that I like to play with. I take them all over the apartment. I like to push them on the couch and the dishwasher and sometimes the kitty (who is not as excited about my cars as I am). I also like to line them up next to each other. You never know where you might find a row of cars around here. When we leave I make sure to bring them with me, especially when we go to church because I get to play with them there. Sometimes I like to fall asleep holding a car in each hand. Last night we went to the store and I got a new green car. I was very excited and played with "gee" all night and made sure to take "gee" with me when I went to bed.

the zoo

A couple of weeks ago when it was a little warmer we went to the zoo. There were lots of animals to look at and a train to ride and a playground to play in. I am very fond of the zoo and whenever I see pictures from that day I tell mama and dada that I want to go there. I cannot wait to go again.

my new job

One of my new jobs now that we live in an apartment is helping dada take moses outside to go potty. In the mornings sometimes moses needs to go out right away and I haven't even gotten dressed yet. So we just put my shoes and my jacket on over my pajamas. Other times of the day I just quick throw on my shoes and follow dada. I love to wear my green rubber boots, especially without pants. I like to take my vacuum with me too because it is lots of fun to push it up and down the sidewalk.

it's just so fascinating

For my birthday my auntie gave me my new friend Tad. He is the perfect size for me to cuddle and carry around with me. He sings songs to me and even tells me he loves me and that he wants to cuddle. I frequently bring him with me when we go in the car. Sometimes I insist that he eat at the table with me, he gets to sit in his very own chair. I just recently learned how to say that what color Tad is...he is "gee". Yesterday I was walking around hitting things with my plastic crowbar and I decided to hit tad with it. Mama looked sad and told me I was hurting Tad and she gave him a cuddle and asked him if he was okay. Then she sat him back down and I decided that maybe I needed to give him a cuddle too. So I hugged him and he must have been okay because when I pressed his buttons he played songs for me still.

For Halloween I decided to be a fireman because they are very cool. I wore my firetruck hat and my new boots and we went to the mall to go trick-or-treating. I carried my pumpkin around and some very nice people put candy in it. I even got to eat some of it later. Apparently all the other kids at the mall were dressed up too, but I didn't really notice because I was paying so much attention to my pumpkin full of candy and my boots that were too big. I had lots of fun and now everytime we drive by the mall I make sure to point it out to mama and dada so that they will know I want to do it all again. Later that night we went to grandma and grandpa's and everytime the doorbell rang I ran to help grandma give out the candy so that I could grab another one for myself and put it in my pumpkin. Halloween was lots of fun and I think surely it should be more than once a year.

important things

Last night mama said we were going to the bookstore and I love the bookstore very much because there is a train there for me to play with. Before we left I made sure to put all kinds of important things in the diaper bag so that we would not forget them. I brought two tractors, two blue cars, a yellow car, a hummer, my little black cell phone, my orange halloween pen, my blue duck that squirts water, and two cds in case we needed music. Mama was wondering why the diaper bag was so heavy but then she realized that I had packed it full of all my important things. I could not possibly leave home without all of these things so they went to the bookstore with us but mama said they had to wait in the car. I am not sure why but like I said I love to play with the train at the bookstore so it was okay.
